Switch from Affinity to Atome.

Your organizations, people and deals move into Atome, with the documents, the forms and the guests around each deal. The Atome team plans the move with you.

  • Data hosted in the EU
  • Start with one team
  • Keep Affinity while you switch
Affinity: a list of limited partners, with each one's connections, last email, status and industry
Atome: a Series A deal in due diligence, open on its record page, with its round, its founders, and the founder's emails, an expert call and the IC memo in the activity

Why teams leave Affinity

What your firm gets in Atome.

Your funds and portfolio, as your own tables

Funds, LPs, investments and portfolio figures, each a table linked to its companies and people. Affinity has lists of organizations, people and deals.

Collaborate with LPs, founders and partners

Invite an LP, a founder or a co-investor as a guest who sees only the records and pages you share. Affinity's collaborators get read-only lists, as a paid add-on.

Keep your data sovereign

Atome is hosted in the EU, by UpCloud and Aiven, two Finnish companies. Affinity is a San Francisco company hosted on US servers.

More than a CRM

Call transcripts, automations, forms, views, and so much more.

Manage emails as a team

Email: Gmail and Outlook, shared inbox, campaigns

Every email is saved on the founder, the company and the deal it belongs to, for the whole team.

Book founders into your team calendar

Calendar: Google and Microsoft sync, team calendars, scheduling

Founders and experts pick a time from your scheduling link, and the meeting is saved on the company and the deal.

Record and transcribe your meetings

AI notetaker: transcript, summary, next actions

Atome records the call with a founder or an expert, saves the summary on the deal and lists the next steps.

Write notes and memos

Docs: notes, investment memos, IC briefs

Every note and investment memo is saved on its company's record, for the whole team.

Enrich every company you add

Enrichment: company and contact details filled in

Add a company's website, and Atome fills in its industry, size, location and LinkedIn.

Ask an AI that knows your firm

AI brain: full context on all your data

Ask which founders have not replied in two weeks. The AI answers from your emails, meetings and files.

Chat about each deal

Each company and each deal has its own chat thread for the team.

Automate repetitive work

A deal moves to due diligence, and Atome creates the tasks and tells the partners.

Receive deals with forms

A form on your website creates the company, its founders and the deal, and gives the deal an owner.

Build your own pipelines

Set the stages, fields and views of each pipeline: deal flow, LPs, portfolio or hiring.

Which one fits

When Affinity fits better.

Affinity suits firms that source through their network: who knows whom, and who can introduce them. Atome suits firms that want the whole deal in one place, from the first email to the signed documents, with LPs, founders and co-investors invited in.

Fits better if

Affinity

  • Warm introductions through your team's network are how you source deals
  • Your team works from PitchBook or Dealroom data inside the CRM
  • A CRM is all you need, with your other tools around it

Fits better if

Atome

  • LPs, founders or partners should see part of your data
  • Memos, documents and signatures go through other tools today
  • Your data has to be hosted by European companies

How the switch works

We handle the switch from Affinity.

Our team plans the move with you, imports your data and trains your teams. Affinity keeps running until your team works in Atome.

  1. Plan the switch

We go through your lists and fields with you and choose what moves and what merges.

  2. Move your data

Organizations, people, deals and notes are imported and checked with you.

  3. Train your team

Short sessions, by team, on the work they do every day.

  4. Turn Affinity off

When your team works in Atome, you export a last copy and end the subscription.

What moves over

What Affinity becomes
in Atome.

Organizations, people, opportunities, their fields and their notes move into Atome as they are. Atome works out relationship strength again from the emails and meetings of the mailboxes you connect. Our team rebuilds your automations and dashboards with you.

FAQs

Questions about the switch.

Have you migrated teams from Affinity before?

Our team has migrated teams from Pipedrive, HubSpot, Airtable, Odoo and spreadsheets, with tools we built for switching from an old CRM. For Affinity, we look at your lists with you before anything moves.

Does Atome show who on our team knows a contact?

Yes. Atome scores each relationship from your team's emails and meetings, and shows on each contact and company the colleague who knows them best. It does not draw introduction paths through other people's networks.

Do our emails come over?

Your emails come from your mailbox. When you connect Gmail or Outlook, you choose how much past email Atome brings in, and each thread is linked to its contacts and companies.

Can we keep Affinity while we try Atome?

Yes. You can start with one team, keep Affinity for the rest, and switch it off when your team has moved.

Who does the switch?

Our implementation team, with you: planning the switch, migrating your data and training your teams.

Where is our data hosted?

In the European Union. Servers and file storage are provided by UpCloud, and the database by Aiven in Germany. Atome AI runs on Mistral AI in France, and on European servers through Cortecs in Austria. The sub-processors page lists every provider.

How much does Atome cost?

€49 per member per month, excluding VAT, billed yearly, or €59 billed monthly. Each member gets a monthly AI allowance.
